The Carriage Roads, Part 2

In researching the first post on the Carriage Roads of Acadia National Park, I found it very difficult to find information that had legitimate references and details. I’m appreciative to those who read through the post and provided correction to questionable information, dates, and references.

I was able to discover the research project funded by the National Park Service and conducted in 1994-95 that documented and recorded part of the Historic American Engineering Record. The team was made up of historians, architects, architectural technicians, landscape architects and photographers. These documents are now recorded in the Library of Congress, and I provide them here as quasi-original source information for quick reference.
